Easter eggs and rabbits ? How do eggs and rabbits have anything at all to do with the resurrection of Jesus, besides the fact that Jesus created eggs and rabbits ? They don’t. Easter, it’s said is to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus. The pagan Catholic church started the practice of Easter after their 40-day period of fasting and reflection, marking the end of Lent, another unbiblical practice. Besides, no one fasts 40 days during Lent.
The pagan idolatrous practice of Easter, eggs, bunnies, and the name “Easter” stem from the pre-Christian European rituals honoring the goddess Eostre or Ostara, an Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility celebrated in April. Eggs represent fertility and new life in pagan cultures. Then in came the so-called Christians who wanted their celebrations to gather, and adopted “eggs” to symbolize the resurrection of Jesus.
You’d think someone would realize the disrespect toward the “resurrection” of Jesus ? They don’t. Practically every Christian church worldwide celebrates Easter.
Easter bunnies are rooted in German tradition of egg-laying hare, symbolizing fertility and spring. Then the devil walked in, and so-called Christians adapted the existing spring festivals to align with the resurrection of Almighty God, Jesus who was crucified, a ransom sacrifice for the forgiveness of ours sins, and was resurrected to His Father in Heaven, waiting for the Father’s word to return to earth and destroy the wicked, cast the demons to hell, and protect His Christian disciples who have “everlasting life” in their eternal future in God’s Kingdom.
Bottom line: Who do you serve, Jesus or Satan ? What practices are you willing to celebrate ?
