“Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?” Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself with not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.” Book of Matthew 12:22-28
This phrase was used by Jesus to refute critics who claimed He drove out demons by the power of Satan. Jesus argued that a “house divided against itself cannot stand,” meaning that it doesn’t make sense for Satan’s kingdom to destroy itself from within. Which brings to mind the politically controlled world we live in today. There are wars around the globe escalating every hour of every day without any nation able to bring peace; even within each nation there is no peace. It is the year 2026 with genocides in one form or another everywhere. Government leaders profess their efforts in making peace but surely it is obvious they are incapable of doing so. Satan remains in control.
Government leaders, business leaders, leaders in education, leaders in religious organizations, leaders of every kind have been corrupted. The entire inhabited earth is divided. Every denomination of religion whether it be Christian, Islam or Hindu is divided in belief. Satan has consistently divided the hearts of men creating their individual belief systems whatever it may be.
Today, it’s common knowledge that many political figures are part of the Synagogue of Satan; or part of Satan’s empire of false religions, full of pride. Unable to humbly gain knowledge of God’s ways and make change appropriately. It cannot happen. It will never happen. “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks,” is an idiom meaning that it is difficult to get someone to change established beliefs or learn. It is human pride. “I was born into this or that religious belief system and I’m going to stick with it,” is the attitude, or “I’m on this or that political party and whatever they say, I’m with them.”
No matter how contrary to God’s ways written in the Word of God to lead His creation of mankind, men will lead themselves in their own ways, not God’s ways and laws made to protect mankind.
“Let You Kingdom Come, Lord, and Your will take place as in heaven and on earth.” The Lord’s Prayer is found in the Bible in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4. And a house divided goes on and on. The earth has been destroyed. Jesus is our only hope. (Matthew chapter 24)
