do you know jesus?

If this is true, a lot of Christians are in trouble. Even if you go to church and are baptized, there are seven signs you’re not really saved even if you’re baptized. Jesus gave one of the most intense warnings in the Bible at Matthew 7:23 which says, “Depart from me. I never knew you.” In other words, you knew about me. I never knew about you.

Sign one: No real relationship with Jesus. You know about Jesus, but you don’t walk with Jesus.

Sign two: Zero fruit. No real fruit. No disciple making. You give a nickel to a charity. That’s it. You have no love joy peace. Nothings really happening with you. Nothings changed.

Sign three: You’re sinning and feel nothing. A Christian may fall but shouldn’t want to stay there.

Sign four: You trust your own goodness, but good people don’t get to go to heaven. Only perfect people and that’s Jesus.

Sign five: You know you love the world more than God. The world of your material riches and carnal wishes come first and God is on your back burner. You have absolutely no desire to make disciples.

Sign six: You actually believe baptism saved you. Baptism is a symbol like a wedding ring. Not a relationship with Jesus himself.

Sign seven: You want Jesus as your Savior, but not your Lord. You want Him to save you from hell but not lead you out of sin.

This is condemnation. It’s an invitation. Salvation isn’t about being perfect. It’s about repentance and a new direction. Jesus didn’t say admire me, he said “Follow me.”

So, ask yourself, “Do I just know about Jesus? Am I actually following Him?”

Isaiah 61: 1-3 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.”
