In the very last aisle at church was a woman I never saw before. She had on gray skin-tight leggings, shameful. She looked like her backside was naked from her waste to her ankles. This was a little disturbing to see to me, to say the least. We’re in church, for crying out loud. Lord have mercy. How much of this crap are we suppose to witness ? But,You know. You have got to have a sense of humor. You really do. It’s all really getting more and more, so bizarre the ways people go out dressed like. All the uncivilized immoral people we see on the news and social media; It’s true. It’s worse than in the days of Noah, and what happened? God took action, didn’t He? (Matthew 24)
Christian women. We always think to dress modestly, and it’s good. Iso much fun. I don’t know about you, but I like to play dress-up a lot. Dumb broads with low standards, “letting it all hang out,” are nothing but missing out.
Modest simple graceful with taste is where it’s at. No one will ever take anyone who draws attention to themselves through provocative dress seriously, will they ? No one but Satan preying on them.
No, we are not “naive,” Christian ladies, no matter where we are. In a big city or in a small country town, we love ourselves first, and we protect ourselves first too. Yes we do. We’re fully aware of God’s standards to dress modestly. If none of this makes sense to you. I’ll explain
There are missing and exploited women and children across the world in biblical proportions. A child taught to be streetwise; meaning, you can’t trust everyone, is going to be far better off than a child who is not taught to protect themselves. This is called common sense. Rest assured. 360 degree smarts work well. Knowing how to dress in public, is very wise. We don’t want to give the wrong impression. Seeing is believing. Dressing immodestly ? Reap what you sow.
I wish my parents protected me. I realize what a blessing from God is. To be protected through His Word. 1 Timothy 2:9-10 states, “In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.” KJV
It makes perfect sense. Yesterday, I was at Fred Meyers and I noticed a man, kinda just moseying around the front area with nothing in his hands, alone. Then I saw him again, looking at me. I took note. He was about my height, hispanic ? I don’t know, but I watched my back. People follow women with evil intent in stores and parking lots or even to their homes. Maybe to rob them, Maybe to abduct and traffick them. It’s terrifying. It’s dark outside.
Wearing mini skirts scares and concerns me too. The other thing I kinda felt concerned about, and I know you might think I’m a fuddy-duddy; I don’t care, but why aren’t teenage girls wearing cute a little-above-the-knee sundresses anymore ? They’re modest, feminine and stylish. A pretty Christian teenage girl in church or anywhere might think twice about wearing mini skirts, for example, because they’re not modest at all. Certain nationalities consider immodest dress to be an invitation.
It is an invitation to be preyed upon, one who seeks attention in immodest clothes. Not at all wise. And naive, “dumb broads’ are getting themselves and others injured. (Ecclesiastes 9:11-12)
