Half of American Presidents were of Irish descent.
I’m a fourth generation Irish-American. My great grandfather immigrated to America during the Ireland potato famine. His name was Joseph Kelly, and was the father of eight children who bought a farm in Sullivan Wisconsin. My grandfather, Raymond Kelly was his oldest child, and when my great grandfather Joseph was kicked in the stomach by his farm horse and died suddenly, my grandfather Kelly went into the army and fought during WWI. Grandpa Kelly became a medical doctor and married my grandma Kelly who was a Red Cross nurse in WWI. They settled in Chicago after the war. They were the finest of fine people. My mother, Jane Kelly was a college graduate too. We are the fighting Irish. We put the plow in the ground, push forward, and don’t look back. We are the fighting Irish. Irish were slaves in America which you never hear much about. Why ? Irish are strong and powerful and need no sympathy. Irish are Christians. The Irish love Jesus. We are Irish !
