Just a day with the lord at walmart

I made my list for shopping but first had to stop at Verizon because I had transferred my cell phone and internet carriers wanting to save $100. per month and being a business owner Verizon enabled me to receive a $15.00 per month cell phone line, but in so doing I was experiencing a number of setbacks including I wasn’t able to text and now I also didn’t have a land line.

My first errand for the day is at Verizon. Scott the manager who initially waited on me two days prior has washed his naturally curly hair since the time I visited and has a nice pair of sunglasses on which I comment about. When I worked with Scott the first time his hair was extremely greasy and combed back. He couldn’t keep his hands off his face while touching my phone which was concerning. During the two-hour initial visit in the store, I conversed with the three men about a number of subjects including the civil war, the European Union, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant, current events, worldwide Zionist wars and especially Jesus and the Bible. I received a new phone from Verizon which I didn’t ask for being I had many phones already when I walked into the store, and all the men were looking at all of my phones. I’m a businesswoman by the way. Retired now, but in business for more than half of my life. No one around this neck of the woods I’ve met like me. A friendly Christian extrovert sometimes introvert another time depending on the day.

One employee named Jenner at Verizon said he was single so I told him he should consider meeting someone in church. In a Christian church. Jenner said he was 26 and showed me a picture of his nephew about two years old standing on a post card with a bat in his hand ready to swing. He mentioned something to the effect he’d not be forthright seeking a wife in a Christian church because he wasn’t religious. I responded, “You have only two choices in life. Two sides to choose from. Are you on the side of God, your Creator? The Creator of love; or are you on the side of Satan, the incomplete angel and father of deception, destruction and evil? Your choice.” He got the message. I told Jenner he didn’t have to be married to have children and that he could foster children and adopt as a single parent. He agreed with a gleam in his eyes. I believe he liked the idea. All the while Scott is working on my phone. Scott is a head-to-toe tattooed family man with 5 children and doesn’t trust anyone with his kids and they home school, he says.

Several days pass and I’m unable to text after calling 611 for answers to no avail realizing I have to run into town to Verizon again. The woman who waits on me this time appears to be butch; not real friendly, more matter of fact, seemingly dismissive since my first two-hour experience with Scott transferring my internet and cell phone to Verizon. Scott’s children are home schooled because he says he doesn’t trust anyone with his children and abhors the woke culture same as me. He works with a butch lady. Scott goes to a local church. The interesting thing about Scott was when I asked him what all the tattoos on his fingers and arms were about, he said, “all of them were from a long time ago before I was mature and a married father of five.” He had said he enjoyed being a father more than a husband and that today his seventeen-year-old daughter was menstruating and moody. When I requested, he teach his 17-year-old daughter about the cell phone business he said she wasn’t smart enough. I said, “she’s smart enough. She has your blood in her veins.” I don’t think he realizes that his daughter carries his blood line for the future of his anscestry, not his sons, I think to myself.

After I depart from Verizon, I run over to Walmart where I actually never shop at because they’re owned by the false prophet Mormons and I once saw on YouTube that when they say it’s a five-pound ham and then you actually weigh it, it’s only three pounds. When I walk in my right hip is hurting me and request an electric cart but there are none. The gentleman at the door tells me they’re all out and I mention that’s not good being Roseburg is almost half senior citizens; so, I sit at the bench and wait for a few minutes then walk back over to the cart section and see an electric cart plugged in and take off with it.

I’m of the opinion with the gas prices it’s wise to stock up on groceries so I don’t have to do the 50-mile track back and forth to town and can be safely at home with everything I need for a month. When I’m in the bread isle which I rarely eat because of my weight problems due to Hashimoto disease, a pleasant woman is standing by my bread of choice, and I ask her if she would please grab the loaf for me. I ask for the multi-grain one and she says, “it’s a half a loaf. Is this the one?” and hands it to me. I had never thought about it like she did. It is only a half a loaf of bread for about five dollars. I recall the scripture in the Book of Revelation chapter 6:6 describing a dire situation where a loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s wage in the “last days.” The scripture is highlighting extreme inflation and scarcity. In most countries globally today, people have no means even to buy flour or wheat. (Book of Matthew chapter 24)

By this time another woman is in the bread isle when my electric cart stops, and I call on a passing clerk for help. Shortly thereafter, the gentleman from the front door shows up and brings me another electric cart. We begin to speak in Christian language, and he asks me how old I think he is. I look at his perfect complexion and I say, “59.” He’s 75 and was formerly a Christian pastor. He hands me a small, polished stone from his pocket and tells me, “The polished stone of the shepherd boy King David against the giant Goliath symbolizes strength faith and trust in God.” (1 Samuel 17:26-50) I put the polished stone in my purse and told him, “I will always cherish it.” I go about my shopping.

When I’m in another isle, I ask the clerk where I can find a flea collar for my dog when another senior citizen woman tells me it’s in the next isle. She begins to visit with me in the pet isle, and goes on to tell me, “I’m a democrat.” Out of the blue she says, “Trump’s new Truth Social and blah blah blah this and that.” I know nothing about it and couldn’t care less. I say, “did you know that Obama is about to be arrested for treason; and the Clintons are sex trafficking children, torturing and killing children to sacrifice to their god Molech? They’re worshipping Satan,” I said. She stands there dead faced. I said, “worship the true God and learn about Him. Stop putting your trust in earthly governments and put your trust in Jesus who is about to crush and put an end to all of these governments.” I scoot away. I believe she took note because she was concerned for me finding a flea collar and was following me. She goes on about she had adopted a dog when her veterinarian told her the dog had the worst case of fleas ever seen by him. “Interesting,” I commented.

In another isle a woman begins to visit me with my back turned and suddenly from behind kisses me. I was talking about the benefits of honey and how it is a God-given natural antibiotic. When I turn the scooter around, she mentions how she is concerned about the homeless. i say, ” I am too, and that all the la-la-land Christian churches for the most part have no concern about the amount of homeless in and around Douglas County.” She agrees and we then go our separate ways. She must have been an angel, I think to myself.

I get to the long check-out line and the woman in front of me starts to chat with a heavy German accent and we begin to visit. I tell her I’ve been to Frankfurt Germany and absolutely loved it and ask her what brings her to Roseburg? She goes on to tell me about her artistic life’s story and her aged husband. She’s a petite woman with a colorful headband under her cowgirl hat. They originally started in Hawaii building a home she says, then moved to the big island when one catastrophe after another forced them to sell and move to Medford, Oregon and then somehow landed on an acre in Roseburg. I told her about my best friend Teresa McGee from Hamilton, Montana where we both shared a home when her husband, an engineer working at Rocky Mountain Log Homes picked up the family and moved to Hilo, Hawaii. She knew all about Hilo because her first home was built in Hilo. My best friend Teresa, I told her had to sell everything she had; basically, giving it all away to move from Montana to Hawaii. After she moved, her and her husband divorced. What a mess my friend endured at the hands of her husband.

The German woman stood at the end of the checkout isle after checking out watching and talking to me. I asked for assistance to my car. A male clerk at the end of the checkout just stood there quietly doing nothing. He just stood there while bags were loaded and I was now talking to the checkout clerk who I was asking about the gorgeous diamond rings she had on her fingers and she was telling me they were an anniversary present when I said, “you deserve them being on your feet all day working so hard.” She said, “I love my job. I enjoy it a lot.” I felt happy for her except the quiet guy wasn’t loading bags into my electric cart and she was doing all the work, which the clerk was kind of noticing too I had the impression. I told him, “You can start packing the cart because the line behind me is long and everyone is ready to have lunch.” He slowly packs.

We head out of Walmart when I bump back into the Christian doorman who gave me the polished stone and I tell him thank you and hopefully, we will meet again. I drive my cart to my car and the attendant without a word packs it for me and I drive away to home. As I’m driving, I think of the millions of Mormon’s and Jehovah’s Witnesses going out every day on the streets of America preaching to thousands; the born-again Christians; nothing. Nothing I’ve seen or heard of born-again Christians going out and doing the disciple making work with the public like the apostle Paul did as an example. Nothing. What an absolute shame. The Walmart doorman was the first born-again disciple making brother I had ever met in public. We must be full of Holy Spirit. The “good news” about Jesus flowed from us.

All in a day with Holy Spirit and the Lord at Walmart.

Always Christian with love at Anne Fisher-of-men.
