Jesus said, “and many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.”
How do you identify a false church or a false teacher of a church ? In order to identify them you research God’s Word. Look up and read God’s Word at 2 Timothy 3:16-17 2 Peter 2:1-2 John 17:3. More often than not, false Christian teachers of the more than 2 billion Christians worldwide, with over 200 so-called Christian denominations, actually believe what they’re preaching. Why ? They are either deliberately misleading by deceit, demon possessed and wicked fleshly materialistic pastors. Or, they don’t know what they’re talking about, maybe because they were born into a Christian denomination; and that is all they know. They don’t have accurate bible knowledge and they don’t care.
Here are the signs you’re church and its pastor are false teachers. This applies to all faiths too, not just Christian.
2 Peter 4:3 …They’re not balanced in God’s Word. They will preach only their own sinful desires. They will have to give an account of every word they teach, and every act they preach in church on judgment day. (James 3:1) These are unbalanced pastors, enticing church goers with fleshly pursuits. They don’t just want God Himself. They don’t chase holiness or Jesus. They believe they have their ticket to heaven and only pursue, as Mark 8:36 states, “for what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” The flocks follows these pastors in total ignorance. They don’t preach holiness. They preach what they feel the church members want to hear, in order to keep them in the church.
In 2025 more than 15,000 churches were closed in America. Why did they close ? Did the flock learn and see through their false teachings, or did they see through their pride? Ask yourself? Christian churches have closed for numerous reasons. Do your research.
Matthew 24:24…the flock is at the church simply because the church is in their neighborhood. (1 John 4:1-16) The church members are not doing anything as individuals, reaching out to the poor, and they are definitely not preaching the “good news” to a single soul. They talk the talk, but they sure don’t walk the walk. The pastors say, “go therefore and make disciples,” and this is as far as it goes. There is no supervision to inform or instruct the flock how to go and make disciples at all, and they don’t. Their pastors don’t even know how to, and are blind leading the blind.
1 John 4:1-6 states, “We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”
Pray for your pastors at church; they need it. The vast majority of Christian churches, for example, are celebrating pagan Catholic holidays. Pagan celebrations of “false gods,” such as Easter or Eastre, the fertility god of eggs and rabbits. Demonic Halloween ? They’ll put on paper that Christmas is the day of the birth of Jesus…and maybe, they don’t even know that it isn’t. When they do find out, they have no spiritual valor to correct their errors. Why ? Because they are man pleasers, not intent on pleasing God. That’s why. If they ban holidays, they loose church members. Does the church honor the Sabbath or practice fasting ?
Recall, out of all the Israelite men, only Joshua and Caleb entered into the promised land of Israel. Surrender to God’s will, not our own. If God says no, trust in Him. God’s will does not lie, and He protects us against the machinations of the evil one. 1 Timothy 6:3-5 states, “If anyone teaches a different doctrine that does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus, and the teaching that accords with Godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing.”
Independently, follow only our Lord, Jesus. His Holy Spirit directs His sheep guides and saves us.
