Satan’s spirit is now the predominant influence in the world. Satan is the enemy of God and mankind. Ephesians 2:2-3 says, “According to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.” Putting it another way, human beings became hopelessly lost in sin with no way out and is why God in His love for mankind sent Jesus to save us. John 3:16 is one of the most used scriptures cited by Christians and reads, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to the world. The world currently controlled by Satan, the father of deceit and lies. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This verse in Romans 5:8 highlights the depth of God’s unconditional love.
God offers the assurance of salvation and everlasting life. While living on this wicked, immoral, crime filled, dangerous, and completely ungodly current mess on earth, the Creator of love offers the solutions in His Word, the Bible. Our Creator has written His laws to govern mankind. His laws for mankind for their protection while alive on earth. His laws are not burdensome and were first given to the Israelites through the prophet Moses. The Ten Commandments are found in the Hebrew Scriptures, the Old Testament of the Bible and are at Exodus 20:3-17 and outline the duty man has toward God and His creation of humans. The commandments are as follows: You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make idols. (Do not bow down to, worship, or make images of anything in creation). You shall not take the name of the Lord God in vain. (Do not use God’s name disrespectfully). Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (Set aside the seventh day as a day of rest and keep it holy). Honor your father and your mother. (Show deep heartfelt respect for your parents and obey them) You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet. (Don’t desire or be envious of your neighbor’s goods)
With all that our Creator, our God of LOVE has provided for us, why is humanity in such a state of disarray, immorality, different religions all going in different directions, confusion, war, hate, violence, pollution, idolatry and massive criminal activity at every corner? Why? Because of Satan, a dark angel with a massive following of demons and who were thrown out of heaven due to their sin and are on earth set to destroy it and mankind. That’s why. Satan currently rules the earth. The proof is everywhere we look. It is not even safe for anyone, especially women and children if they are out and not aware of their surroundings. There are so many ungodly people on earth that God warned and they take no note.
They take no note that God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus our Savior to earth as a ransom sacrifice for our sins. Jesus has been given all power to protect His Christian servants who “Go therefore and make disciples, of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19-20) Humans were created for the sole purpose of “Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and give worship to Him that made heaven, and earth, the sea, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” (Revelation 14:7)
To fear God means we stand in awe of His authority. We submit to His Word the Bible and to His Son Jesus to teach us and others how to “walk with God.” To give Him glory means we recognize His infinite worth in adoration and allegiance. We fear losing the ultimate gifts of His love, grace and everlasting life in heaven in the presence of God. John 17:3 reads: “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
It’s impossible to love God completely and be friends with Satan and his malicious deceit everywhere we turn which is against God.
