The Bible symbolizes one’s hair with strength, glory, holiness and gender; long hair for women as glory and short hair for men as order. Hair also signifies surrender, mourning or covering. Priests were admonished to keep hair trimmed, neither shaved or long to not mimic pagans. (Ezekiel 44:20)
Paul wrote that long hair is a woman’s glory and a covering. A woman washed Jesus’ feet with her hair, symbolizing the surrender or her glory.
Biblically, hair symbolizes beauty and identity with meanings and varying identity. A woman’s long hair represents glory and modesty. “Her hair is given to her instead of a covering.” (Corinthian 11:15) Therefore, a woman’s hair is her covering, and no veil is required.
Gray hair symbolizes wisdom and righteousness, and baldness is a prophetic warning for loss of honor.
Spiritually, our hair is a connection to the divine. Hair has our DNA, a conduit for cosmic energy, personal identity, strength and purity, God’s antennae representing devotion.
What do you think and feel about a Christian woman or man walking into Christian church with dirty greasy looking hair ? Or ambassadors’ for Christ, females in sloppy t-shirts and greasy hair ? What?
