There is ongoing theological debate about whether believers can be under a “generational curse.” It’s a fact that sinful tendencies such as alcoholism, drug addiction, violent anger issues, lack of social skills and the root cause emotional problems are often handed down due to the bad influence and sinful practices of one’s parents or family members and are considered a generational curse. Think about it. Where else do bad habits originate? Maybe at school?
Watch reels on social media, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc., and see people worldwide acting as if they’re animals. Animals don’t even act this bad alone or in groups. Generational curses Biblically refer to the consequences of ancestral sin, such as, idolatrous practices worshipping statues, following false prophets, or serious patterns of sin like murder, disobedience to parents, materialism and greed. Even generational poverty is caused by recurring harmful practices that cause serious consequences. These practices effect subsequent generations. For example, if a child sees serious violence between their parents, how will they know how to deal with differences when they are in any kind of relationships except through anger and violence?
Or, if a child is not given emotional support, and proper training as a little one, how does the child develop emotional intelligence? Children develop emotional intelligence ages infant to six years old. We develop emotional intelligence by the loving intelligent hard work and good energy our parents provide.
I just watched a young black lady on a social media reel. She was like a demon-possessed human going absolutely stark raving mad in a McDonalds restaurant because they put onions on her burger after she requested them not to. She went behind the counter and tore up the entire restaurant. There are currently 100’s of black people on social media addressing “black fatigue,” too. Adults on earth who were raised by immoral single mothers living amongst us everywhere who have zero coping skills and are entirely racist against anyone who either tells them no or disagrees. They feel they can verbally or physically assault anyone and are now amongst us. Look it up. What does the Bible tell us about the “last generation” on earth and their behavior? Research it.
Remember Noah and his three sons in the Bible at the Book of Genesis 9:20-27? Research this too. Noah had three sons. One of Noah’s son’s heirs, Canaan was doomed to be “servant of servants.”
Ask yourself. How does one wipe out a generational curse? Do your research.
